The protection of any personal data is defined under the law 2472/1997 for the protection of personal data. NEL Lines does not collect any personal data unless you provide them to us willingly. Personal data will be asked from you if you wish to use specific web pages of our website. NEL Lines does not forward this data to any third party. The service provider shall not collect any personal data, but may use non personal recognizable data.
Other data
NEL Lines gathers other data automatically, for statistical reasons, having as a target to determine what its customers want and thus improve its web site.
Cookies usage
Cookies are small data files that allows the web servers to recognize the visitors. When you login a website that uses the cookies technology, a cookie is added at your browser.
Web-beacons usage
Web-beacons are non visible files that are connected to the e-mail sent to you (i.e. press releases) that allow the web-servers to identify the e-mail readers. The reason for this is the creation of statistics from non personal data.
When can we reveal your personal data?
We can use your personal data when we bona fide believe this is necessary for locating, communicating or suing anyone who causes damage or misuses our or our users’ rights. We can also reveal information when required by the law for fraud revealing reasons.
The e-shop bearing the name www.nel.gr has chosen the Piraeus Bank, with which a legal contract is in place, for the security of the online transactions. It is confirmed that the above named e-shop carries out secure Mastercard and Visa cards transactions, using encryption complying with the SSL-128 bit protocol.

According to the law, for security reasons, during the tickets approval, it is necessary to display the following data:

6. Handicapped passengers need to state their condition to the travel agency issuing their ticket. 7. The boarding process includes a check-in procedure. In the event someone holds an invalid ticket (incorrect date, etc.) they will not be allowed to embark. To avoid any inconvenience, we suggest you are at the checking point on time, with your ticket at hand and in compliance with all the above. Journey Terms
1. Each ticket is personal, cannot be transferred and is only valid for the accommodation class and trip it was issued for. 2. The ticket price does not include any on board beverages. 3. The passengers have to be at the checking point at least (1) hour before departure time.
The open tickets are valid for (1) year. Possibility of extension could be given in exceptional cases by the Company’s management. Special circumstances: In case of accidents, hospitalisation etc. a ticket may be cancelled or made open only after approval of the company’s management. The passenger must provide the necessary documents stating failure to travel was health related. 5. Each ticket holder can bear luggage of up to 50Kg or up to (1) cubic meter. 6. Loss of ticket: A refund (80%) of the ticket’s value will be refunded at the end of the year, since there is evidence to proof purchase of a new ticket replacing the lost one. 7. If the passenger’s luggage were under his protection, the company can have no responsibility for their loss or damage. 8. Jewellery, money and other similar objects may be given to the ship’s reception for safekeeping. 9. NEL Lines will not be held responsible for any delays or changes in course caused by bad weather conditions, the Commercial Shipping Ministry’s or any other authority’s orders, or by any other causes beyond the company’s accountability. 10. The carriage of explosives, flammable / dangerous materials in general, is prohibited. 11. The passengers are solely responsible for preserving the Coastal, Health and Customs regulations. 12. The passengers have to comply with any of the Captain’s and the crew’s directions that concern the ship’s order and security. 13. Any complains a passenger has have to be directed to the ship’s captain, or, and in case the journey has ended, to NEL Lines or the harbor’s authorities. 14. If NEL Lines is liable for a journey’s cancellation, its only responsibility will be to refund the ticket price. 15. NEL Lines has the right, after the relevant Ministry’s approval, to replace the ship, for which the ticket was issued, with another. |
